Alicia Scherson is a filmmaker. Now based in Chile, she has studied, worked and lived in Cuba, Spain and the US. Her feature films Play (2005), Turistas (2009) and Il Futuro (2013, adaptation of “Una novelita lumpen”, by Roberto Bolaño ) ha...ve been shown in theaters internationally and received critical acclaim and several film festival awards. In 2015 she co-directed with Cristian Jimenez the film “Family Life” (adaptation of a short story by Alejandro Zambra) which premiered ar Sundance 2017. She is also a scriptwriter and consultant for films and series, recently the films Rara (2016) and Karadima (2015). She is an associated professor at the Universidad de Chile.
