The Veteran

Documentary, 2022

The Veteran is an essay film that unfurls the origins of an extraordinary legend: an American priest who lived for many years in a remote coastal village in Southern Chile was responsible for dropping the atomic bomb on Japan. An absorbing study of this little-known, yet remarkable story, the film explores the reasons that led this veteran to become a missionary, the flow of History, and how people and stories transform.
