Chilean musician and music video director born in Santiago, Chile, 1983. Between 2005 and 2009 he led the band Teleradio Donoso, releasing two albums, "Gran Santiago" (2007) and "Bailar y llorar" (2008), to immediate and widespread acclaim ...in Chile and South America. He then pursued a solo career with the release of "Odisea" (2010) and "Rebeldes" (2011) both to critical and commercial acclaim with subsequent tours of the USA, Europe and South America, thus becoming one of Chile's most renowned artists.

For years a seasoned film buff, from 2005 onwards Alex Anwandter undertook directing music videos for his own projects and those of other artists, and has since directed more than a dozen videos for bands such as Javiera Mena, Teleradio Donoso and others. Highlights among these works include "Cabros" (2010), starring renowned actors Jaime Vadell and Edgardo Bruna, awarded Best Video at the Festival del Videoclip (Chile) and "Cómo puedes vivir contigo mismo?", Best Video at the Festival de Cine B (Chile).

Named by TIME Magazine as an artist "poised for stardom in the US", his music and videos have been featured from Billboard Magazine to Vice Magazine, MTV and PerezHilton.com, while NPR has celebrated his video "How Can You Live With Yourself?", a tribute to the documentary "Paris is Burning", for its courageous message of equality and non-discrimination.

In 2012, Alex Anwandter begins to prepare a new phase in his career: moved by the murder of Daniel Zamudio, a young gay man killed in a discrimination attack and a fan of his music, Anwandter writes his first screenplay "Nunca vas a estar solo". The film had its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, in the Panorama section, dedicated to new works by established filmmakers and films in search of auteur and commercial cinema. At this event, it was awarded the Teddy Jury Award, the most important LGBT film award. It has participated to date in the Guadalajara Film Festival, Seattle Film Festival, Cine Latino Tubingen and Tel Aviv LIGBT IFF.

The film is sold internationally by WIDE Management (Paris) and has confirmed distribution in France, Benelux, Italy, Taiwan and Macedonia.
